Amity Gaige

It's not every month that we get to host our current "Book of the Month" author, so we're super-excited to have Amity Gaige coming to the store on Thursday, March 21st at 7pm to read from her latest novel, Schroder. Inspired in part by the fascinating real life con artist Christian Gerhartsreiter (aka Clark Rockefeller), Gaige's third novel is riveting and full of humanity. Here's what Pete had to say about it in his BoTM shelftalker:

"Meet your next book club book! Amity Gaige's Schroder has a clear hook: Eric Kennedy, a man who isn't who he appears to be, kidnaps his daughter while on a parental visit. The ensuing and ill-fated mad dash proves that this book has more to it than its compelling hook: it's a profound examination of identity, family, and history that's beautifully written. A rich and rewarding novel."

So, please come join us in welcoming a writer whose work we love so much we guarantee it!
