On Thursday April 25th at 7:00pm, please join Green Apple Books and SF Elks in welcoming best-selling author David Talbot, for cocktails and conversation, in celebration of the paperback release of Season of the Witch.
Enjoy a rare opportunity to visit San Francisco’s historic Elk’s Lodge, and have a drink with one of The City’s literary giants, David Talbot – founder of Salon.com, and the author of the best book yet written on San Francisco’s turbulent past, Season of the Witch. Kirkus Reviews called the book “An ambitious, labor-of-love illumination of a city’s soul, celebrating the uniqueness of San Francisco without minimizing the price paid for the city’s free-spiritedness… the author encompasses the city’s essence…(and) takes the reader much deeper than cliché, exploring a San Francisco that tourists never discover.”
This free event is open to friends of Green Apple (this means you!), and is a wonderfully unique chance to tour a seldom-seen historic landmark, to enjoy libations at 1970’s prices, and to grab a signed copy of a book that belongs on every San Franciscan’s bookshelf.
