Derek Muk is a writer and social worker from California whose short stories have appeared in various online and small press magazines. Come check out what is sure to be an exciting debut reading and pick up your copy of the book on July 14th in our Granny Smith Room.

Green Apple Books is thrilled to be a stop on James Kaelan's 1900 mile bike tour to promote his new book, We're Getting On. The first edition of the book, published by Flatmancrooked Press, is 100% green, recycled, and post-consumer. But that's not all: the covers are even made of seed paper that, upon burial, germinate and grow into birch trees, allowing the book to offset its own carbon footprint ten times over. Fittingly, We're Getting On is a series of interconnected short stories and novellas which explore youth, dissolution, the impact technology has on the modern world, and what happens when one tries to live completely off the grid.
Don't miss this revolutionary moment in publishing as James Kaelan stops his bicycle in Green Apple's Granny Smith room to read from, discuss, and sign copies of this amazing new work. Call the store today to reserve your copy in advance.
