About the Author
Juan Pablo Villalobos was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, in 1973. He studied marketing and Spanish literature. He has researched such diverse topics as the influence of the avant-garde on the work of Cesar Aira and the flexibility of pipelines for electrical installations. He is the author of books including "Down the Rabbit Hole "and "Quesadillas". He lives in Barcelona, Spain.
Enrique Vila-Matas was born in Barcelona in 1948. His novels have been translated into eleven languages and honored by many prestigious literary awards including the Prix Medicis Etranger. Author of "Bartleby & Co.", "Montano's Malady", and "Never Any End to Paris", he has received Europe's most prestigious awards and been translated into twenty-seven languages.
Adam Thirlwell was born in London in 1978. He is the author of the novels "Politics" and "The Escape"; the novella "Kapow!; "a project about international novels, "The Delighted States", which won a Somerset Maugham Award; and of a compendium of translations edited for "McSweeney's". He has twice been selected as one of "Granta"'s Best Young Novelists. His work has been translated into thirty languages. He lives in London.
